  1. SAFETY is our prime concern.
  2. NO firing without a range officer present.
  3. THE RANGE OFFICER IS IN CHARGE AT ALL TIMES. HIS/HER WORD IS LAW.
  4. All persons on the range must act in a safe and responsible manner and follow these range rules at all times. This is a condition of membership.
  5. All persons on the range MUST sign in; all shooters must produce a current membership card or pay guest fee prior to shooting.
  6. All “Guest” and “NEW” members will be evaluated and observed by a range officer prior to and during shooting.
  7. Shatter resistant eye protection and ear protection (at least 25 decibels) must be worn by all persons.
  8. All firing must be done from the booths.  Exceptions to this are range-sponsored events, retired police officer qualifications and departmental qualifications.
  9. Holsters may not be worn except for range-sponsored events, retired police officer qualifications, departmental qualifications, NJ handgun carry permit holders, and the range officer on duty unless approved by the primary RSO.
  10. Firearms may be loaded in the booths only.
  11. FIREARMS MUST BE POINTING DOWNRANGE AND PARALLEL TO THE FLOOR AT ALL TIMES.
  12. TARGETS MUST BE SET AT SHOULDER HEIGHT OF SHOOTING POSITION USED.
  13. RED FLASHING LIGHTS – means the range is safe. NO handling of firearms. Action must be open if firearm is out. BELL indicates change from SAFE to HOT or HOT to SAFE.
  14. CEASE-FIRE – Can be called by anyone at any time during shooting. If a cease fire is called, set gun down, step back and wait for further instructions.
  15. Guns may be cased or uncased only at the line while it is HOT.
  16. Only ONE (1) person shooting in a booth at one time.
  17. Magnum or high-powered center fire cartridges ARE NOT permitted. All firearms and calibers are subject to range officer approval. NO 460 S&W Mag, NO .17 calibers, NO steel cases or steel jacketed bullets. And NO fully automatic firearms permitted.
  18. All empties must be picked up at the end of shooting, brass and aluminum are saved separately for recycling.
  19. Shotguns are permitted only for police qualification or RSO usage. Regular lead slugs or Buckshot, not smaller than #4 only. NO saboted slugs, NO copper jacketed slugs, NO solid copper slugs.
  20. No children under the age of twelve (12) are permitted to shoot. Children twelve (12) through seventeen (17) must be supervised one on one by a range officer or an adult member.
  21. No active or retired police officer qualifications during regular range hours.
  22. Loaded firearms may not be brought into the range except by law enforcement personnel and NJ carry permit holders with approval from primary RSO.
  23. No drinking of alcoholic beverages on the range, meeting room or grounds.
  24. NO SMOKING on the firing line or in the meeting room.
  25. No uncased guns in meeting room without permission and presence of Range Safety Officer.
  26. Shooters must declare the use of reloads.
  27. For safety reasons, only one gun is permitted on the firing bench at a time without RSO approval.

Carrying at the Range

If you have a carry permit from the state of NJ, you may enter the range with the gun properly holstered under the following conditions:

  • You must inform the range officer on duty that you are carrying your gun. 
  • You must initially show your carry permit. 
  • You must follow the same range rules that reference safe gun handling ex: 
  • If you are shooting the gun you are carrying, it can only be unholstered in your assigned lane and when the range is HOT. 
  • If you are not shooting the gun you are carrying, it cannot be handled 
  • You cannot re-holster until you are finished shooting that particular gun and you inform and get permission from the range officer on duty that you are ready to re-holster.
